The act of singing looks simple but actually involves highly skilled control and coordination of muscles. Moreover, these muscles need to be both flexible and strong. True control comes from training.

We are all born with the key ingredients of a singing voice.

The early gurgling and bubbling sounds we make as babies contain some of the key components of singing thus a variety of pitches, dynamics, rhythms and phrases. But some of us may have a genetic advantage that can be
enhanced by training.

Singing increases breathing control and lung capacity which can improve heart
health and release the happy hormone oxytocin, elevate your mood and
reduce pain and may even increase your immunity. Even practising a new
behaviour, like singing, can be good for the brain.

However, sensational gospel musician, Joyce blessings shares a different opinion when it comes to voice training.

” I am not speaking against voice training or people who train but
honestly, voice training doesn’t help me at all “. She claimed

” When I do voice training, it rather affects my voice in a negative way.
Most of the time, I feel pains or heaviness in the voice”. The gospel musician stressed.

She therefore revealed what helps her voice to be maintained.

” My voice turns out to be very bad especially when I am very tired. I
therefore discovered that, after having enough rest, my voice becomes
better.

As a matter of fact, I take sometime out of work in order to have enough rest before hitting the studios to record. And finally, I avoid shouting when singing or performing “. she stated.

The gospel sensational made this revelation in an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM’s morning show.

Sammy flex expressed shock at Joyce blessings opinion about voice training.

” Waow, this is my first time hearing a musician make such usual statement about voice training “. The presenter expressed.
